This two day national level technical symposium conducted every year for the undergraduate students of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology ,Electrical and Electronics,Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering and post graduate students of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics and Electronics & Communication and MCA provides a platform for the students of the engineering fraternity for exchange of their ideas and information to keep abreast of the current developments. The overall objective of this mega event is to bring together the expertise and showcase the talents of the students in various disciplines. Technical paper presentations for all the above disciplines are conducted in parallel sessions. Other competitions like Hardware debugging, Technical Quiz, Software Debugging, Network Games, Project Contest, Business Idea Presentation, Poster Presentation, Web Design, Engineering Problems, Line Follower (Robots), Documentary Competition,etc to evaluate the general talents of the students are conducted in connection with this two-day programme. Students from leading technical educational institutions and Universities covering a wide geographical designation across the country participate in this programme.
The 10th National Level Technical Festival of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, Colloquium'12was organized in the college premises on 2nd and 3rd of January 2012. Dr. Prahlad Vadakkepat, Professor, National University of Singapore inaugurated the program and delivered the keynote address. Dr. Prahlad also released the Colloquium 12 proceeddings which includes 50 technical papers. The festival includes invited lectures by eminent personalities in each field and paper presentation by students from various streams followed by project exhibition, technical quiz and a number of other technical competitions providing a platform for students to exhibit and widen their scientific proficiency.
The 11th National Level Technical Festival of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, Colloquium'13 was conducted in the college premises on 23rd and 24th of January 2013. Prof.V N Rajasekharan Pillai, Executive Vice President, KSCSTE, Thiruvananthapuram inaugurated the program and Sri Soorya Krishnamoorthy,Chairman,Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy delivered the keynote address. Prizes worth Rs 2 Lakhs are offered for the various technical competitions. The competitions were followed by a cultural nite by the MCET students.
