Dr. K. Sivaraman obtained his B.E. degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, M.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Ph. D from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has more than 30 years teaching experience at Government Engineering College, Thiruvananthapuram. He has publications in the field of Image processing in International journals to his credit.

Dr. Sivaraman has served as the Principal of College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram and as Director of Technical Education, Kerala. He was also served as Director, Oneview Systems Pvt Ltd at Techno Park, Thiruvanathapuram and as Sr. Vice President of Sobha Developers Ltd., Bangalore heading Sobha Academy before joining this College.

Dr. Sivaraman was the member of syndicate, senate and academic council of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, member of the Senate for the University of Calicut, University of Kerala, and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, member of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kerala and member of the South Western Regional Committee of the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India. He was the member of the governing bodies of various institutions under Government of Kerala and Member of different advisory committees and monitoring Committees of Government of India. He has visited many educational Institutions in Canada and USA.

Dr. Sivaraman had guided large number of undergraduate and post graduate students in their projects. He was Consultant for Centre for Imaging Technology, Thiruvananthapuram during the period 1989 to 1991 and consultant for TELICS, Thiruvanathapuram during the period 1976 to 1979.
