We believe that facilitating the recruitment process is as significant as opening the door to the students into the B.Tech course. In order to achieve this we have established a Career Guidance and placement cell (CGPC) with Dr. K.B. Radhakrishnan, Prof & Head., Biotechnology department as coordinator and headed by the Principal Dr.Ashalatha Thampuran. The activities of the placement cell are collectively managed by the students and the Heads of various departments. All advices are based on up-to-date placement statistics and an envisioned view of upcoming industrial trends. Members of faculty are available to respond to students’ queries and concerns of all kinds. This may include advice on placement procedures, help with preparation of applications and resumes, and practice for interviews. The aim is to ensure that students have to be provided with information and skills required for an effective job search. The CGPC is committed to provide all possible support to its students in their efforts to find employment.

CGPC’s planned tasks

• To build and maintain good relations with the industry, inviting companies for campus interviews.
• CGPC provides guidance to the students regarding opportunities for higher s tudies and training for the preparation of examinations like GATE, GRE, IES, TOEFL, CAT etc.
• To establish good rapport with reputed industries and other organisations.
• Impart proper career guidance to match and go beyond recruiters’ expectations.
• Organise Personality Development Workshops, Group Discussions, Elocution and Debate competitions, inviting experts from industry to the campus for sharing their experience and expertise.
• To keep track of the current status of students and to record and maintain a data-bank
• Providing a placement process for the students of the pre-final year.
• Interact closely with company recruiters well in advance of their placement period to realize their hiring needs
• Setting up the strategy for placement
• Providing accommodation to recruiters to conduct interviews on campus. CGPC ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting officials.
• Organize pre-placement talks by recruiters to the candidates.
• Assist the recruiters in locating the right candidates and in short listing.
• The objective of the CGPC is to provide 100% employment to students.
