IEEE, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers promote the engineering process of creating
and applying knowledge about electrical and information
technologies and Science. The Organisation has its
headquarters in United States.
It was founded in 1884 and it is the world’s largest
technical professional society, spread over 150
countries including those in America, Africa, Europe and
Asia.
IEEE member gets a personal subscription to
‘Spectrum’, It Provides the members opportunities to
attend technical conferences. A membership in the
organization increase professional prestige. IEEE Kerala
section was formed on 17.02.1975 and has about 1200
members.
The college has an IEEE Students chapter and Prof. K.
Gopakumar, HOD, Electronics and communication Department
is the staff councilor. The chapter includes nearly 50
members.
