Association of Biotechnology (ELIXIR)
Some main events:
- Lecture On career guidance in biotechnqlogy by Dr.Anoop_umar Thekkuveettil, Head, Molecular Medicine Division, SCTlMST, Tvm.
- Industrial visit to Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology.
- DNA quiz conducted for the students
- Workshop on bloinformatics by Mr.Sasikumar, Bloinformatics consultant, centre for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Tvm.
- Inauguration of activities of the year by Dr.G.M.Nair, Director, 'TBGRI, Palode.
- Lecture on Recombinant and Protein synthesis by Dr.G.M Nair, Director, TBGRI, Palode.
- Biotechnology exhibition"BIOFEST-2004" organized by biotechnology students.
- Industrial visit to Tropical Botanical Garden Research Institute, Palode.
Association of Computer Science and Engineering (ACES)
Association of Computer Science and Engineering is a Forum of Students and Staff of the department that thrives towards total personality development of the Students. ACES is actively involved in conducting invited lectures, Seminars and cultural events. Association also encourages students to participate in paper presentation contests conducted by various institutions.
Students of Computer Science and Engineering are also members of ISTE Students Chapter and Computer Society of India.
The department has conducted visits to various industries like KINFRA Film & Video park,Trivandrum, IBM India, Banglore and Onward Novell Pvt.Ltd, Banglore
Association of information Technology ( THEURGIX)
Association of Information Technology is a forum of students and staff of the department that thrives towards total personality development of the students. THEURGIX is actively involved in conducting invited lectures, seminars and cultural events. Association also encourages students to participate in paper presentation contests conducted by various institutions. The department has conducted visits to various industries like KINFRA Film &. Video Park, Trivandrum, IBM India, Banglore, Onward Novell Pvt. Ltd, Banglore. Students of Information Technology are also members of ISTE, Students Chapter and Computer Society of India.
Association of Electronics and Communication – SPECTRA
The Association conducted talks on various technical topics for the students by inviting eminent persons from industries like C-DAC, ISRO, C-DIT and Techno Park. This paves the way for the Students to have an explicit interaction with the experts.
The department also arranged visits to various industries like KELTRON, All India Radio, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
The association supports the students in maintaining their links with the industries by arranging industrial visit to various industries across the country in connection with their all India educational tours. The students also undergo industrial training during their undergraduate programme.
