VNGP Memorial Trust

The VNGP Memorial Trust is formed with the objective of promoting quality educational institutions in India as a fitting tribute to Sri. V N Gangadhara Panicker, an eminent educationalist and social figure.

He was a leading philanthropist and business man of his time, renowned for his social objectives aimed at developing the economically weaker sections of the society.

With his foresight and vision in the field of education, he established the first school in Anad, a rural village near Nedumangad in Trivandrum district. The school was a model institute of learning & though located in rural setting, commanded an excellent name for quality education, competing with the best institutes in the state. even in those early times.

Today this school stands as a glowing tribute to the memory of Sri. V N Gangadhara Panicker's vision and accommodates over one thousand students with all modern facilities.

	Sri. G. Mohandas Executive Trustee, VNGP Memorial Trust   Sri. G. Mohandas. Executive Trustee and son of Sri. Y.N. Gangadhara Panicker is an eminent industrialist, educationalist, hotelier and prominent social personality. His extensive business interests include hotels, resorts, pharmaceuticals and plantations in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Thiruvananthapuram's prestigious five star hotel, 'The South Park', the best property managed by the Welcome Group, is owned by Sri. G. Mohandas: Quality is a hallmark that runs through all his institutions where standards are constantly monitored and bettered. Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology is also infused with high quality professionalism and aims to be the best in the field of technical education in the country.
	Smt. Rani Mohandas Secretary, VNGP Memorial Trust   Smt. Rani Mohandas, an astute businesswoman, is on the Board of a number of companies involved in the areas of hoteliering, plantations and leisure/entertainment industry. She is responsible for the diversification of the group into areas such as Pharmaceuticals and Education. Her managerial and leadership capabilities have proven to be of immense value to the running of various educational institutions under the trust.
	Sri. Krishna Mohan Treasurer, VNGP Memorial Trust   Mr. Krishna Mohan is a third generation industrialist and businessman from the Panicker family. Young and dynamic, he is professionally trained to be a lawyer. With excellent administration skills and entrepreneurship, he plays a crucial role in the varied and vast interests of the Mohandas Group.
	Mr. J. Alexander IAS (Retd). Trustee- Former Chief Secretary of Govt. of Karnataka  Mr. Alexander has also held several other esteemed - positions such as Registrar (Evaluation)- Mysore University. CEO,Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation etc.
	Mr. A.V. Venkatachalam IPS (Retd). Trustee - Former Director General of Police, Kerala.  Mr. A.V. Venkatachalam IPS (Retd). During a long and distinguished career, he has held such important posts as Director General of Police- Kerala State. CMD- Travancore Titanium Products. CMD- KSIE. MD- Kerala Minerals and Metals Ltd. etc.
